Note: This Fundraising Drive was initiated by a CAREFY volunteer. We support the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) which works to uphold the rights of children in the Philippines, including their right to education, healthcare and protection from abuse and exploitation.
ABOUT UNICEF Philippines on their Website
UNICEF believes
All children have a right to survive, thrive and fulfill their potential – to the benefit of a better world.
UNICEF was established in the aftermath of World War II to provide emergency relief to children affected by the war, no matter what country they were from.
Today, UNICEF continues to work in the world’s toughest places to reach the most disadvantaged children and adolescents—and to protect the rights of every child, everywhere. Across 190 countries and territories, including the Philippines, we do whatever it takes to help children survive, thrive and fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.
UNICEF in the Philippines
UNICEF began providing assistance to the Philippines in November 1948. Since then, UNICEF has been helping the Philippine government to strengthen national policies, programmes and services to ensure that all Filipino children enjoy their rights.
